Break time is a time of meditation

I took six weeks off or so, just kept getting burned out. It happens.

I train hard. I push myself. My nervous system gets burned out and that's just what happens. It's why there's a deload every so often, where you go at less intensity sometimes.

Taking a six week break is an even more awesome deload. Not only did this give my CNS time to recover, but it gave me time to think. I found out over my break that I should probably be deloading every third week as opposed to every fourth. This might explain why I just get burned out over time (since a deload is supposed to prevent that). Taking the six weeks off allowed me to do a fresh restart, as well. It allowed me to drop enough weight that I could get all my reps in and not feel like I was losing progress. I want to start hitting my reps all the time in the hopes that I can keep going up in weight in a more predictable manner.

It also allows me to drop weight to change my form. I want to widen my bench press grip to hit the pecs more.

I'm also going to try to drop down to 160, again. I ended up getting back up to 180 and now I'm down to 176, so cutting out sugars and getting back into the gym should work out. We'll see.

Capoeira starts monday. Dance classes have already started.
